Abstract:
The geological tourist map “the Stones of Bologna. lithology of a city” prepared by Professor Marco Del Monte of the Department of Earth and Geological-Environmental Sciences of the University of Bologna in collaboration with the Geological, Seismic and Soil Survey of Regione Emilia-Romagna proposes a unique journey through the streets of the historic centre of Bologna. The map proposes a new reading of the history of the city starting from the materials used to construct the facades of its buildings, the paving, porticoes and numerous towers.
