• How to reach Le Selve and Castel del Rio

From Bologna you can reach Imola train station (located about 23 km from Castel del Rio) by train (by Bologna/Ancona line) or by bus, by taking line 101 run by Tper (Trasporto Passeggeri Emilia-Romagna).From Imola, you can take Tper bus line 44 to Castel del Rio. From Castel del Rio with a 1 hour walk you can reach the  Complesso “Le Selve” (when you are at the junction at the beginning of the village take a right turn into Viale II Giugno; afert about 100 m take a right turn in Via Ambrogini; ascend for about 4 km and turn right into a descending paved road signed by a wooden signal; after about 800 m you arrive at “Le Selve”).

From “Le Selve” you can reach Castel del Rio in 1 hour walk by following CAI 727 trail. From Castel del Rio you can proceed by Tper (Trasporto Passeggeri Emilia-Romagna) bus line 44 to Imola (which is 23 km far from Castel del Rio). From Imola you can reach Bologna by train or by the line 101 of Tper buses.
