Abstract:
To improve the knowledge of the territory, particularly to mitigate the seismic hazard, the Geological, Seismic and Soil Survey of the Emilia-Romagna Region has promoted, with the collaboration of the Institute of Geosciences and Earth Resources (Section of Florence) of the CNR, the Earth Sciences Dept. of Florence University, the Physics Dept. (Geophysics Section) of Bologna University and the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV, Bologna), a research project aiming to analyse the active tectonics and seismicity of the region.
