- How to reach Berceto
We suggest to reach Berceto the afternoon before the beginning of your trekking, to allow a visit to the Duomo, the ruins of the castle or a simple stroll through the village. You can reach Berceto by train with the Parma-La Spezia line (http://www.trenitalia.com/) : the nearest train station, located in Ghiare, is linked to Berceto though the Pronto Bus Extra service, run by TEP (tel. 0039 840 222 223, http://www.tep.pr.it/servizi_speciali/pronto_extra/default.aspx, in Italian).
From Parma you can reach Berceto also by coach (run by TEP, tel. 0039 840 222 223, http://www.tep.pr.it/en/default.aspx ). - How to come back from Berceto
You can reach the nearest train station, located in Ghiare, though the Pronto Bus Extra service, run by TEP (tel. 0039 840 222 223, http://www.tep.pr.it/servizi_speciali/pronto_extra/default.aspx, in Italian). From there, you can proceed to Parma, by train, with the line Parma-La Spezia (http://www.trenitalia.com/).
The Pronto Bus Extra is a bus service activated on request by phone call created to facilitate the mobility for those who have special needs in terms of destination and/or schedule: the bus can reach the remotest locations and follows the route chosen by the user; it reaches all the locations in the area and can load further passengers in the way.
In order to book the desired ride, you activate the service the day before or the same day if within the served area, by calling 0039 840 222 223 every working day from 7.30 to 19.00. The bookings received on the same day of the ride can be accepted basing on availability.
You can also book a ride via web by filling in the specific form on the website www.tep.pr.it
The fare for the ride is the same of a extra-urban ride; the ticked can be purchased also on board with a small additional charge. Seasonal passes are not effective.
