Stage services reached: Rifugio CAI Città di Forlì “Piero Marconi”, – Rifugio la Burraia Il Casone – Locanda Chalet La Burraia

  • How to reach Prati della Burraia
    You can reach Forlì by train (http://www.trenitalia.com/tcom-en) ; from there you can take a coach to Santa Sofia-Campigna, line 132, that in the summer season goes up to  Passo della Calla (for information on schedules visit http://www.startromagna.it/?lang=en  or call 0039.199.115577) .
    Then, in order to get to Prati della Burraia:
    - from Campigna, proceed on foot following CAI 253 trail (about 2 hours)
    - from Passo della Calla proceed on foot following CAI 00 trail (about 40 minutes).

    From Arezzo, you can reach Stia by train (for information visit www.trasportoferroviariotoscano.it website in Italian, or call the toll free 0039 800 115 605) and from there you can use private transport services to reach km n.2 of provincial road 94, towards Fangacci di Campigna. From the nearby parking lot, the lodging services are reachable on foot in about 15 minutes by following CAI 253 towards Prati della Burraia.

  • How to come back from Prati della Burraia
    From  Prati della Burraia you can either:
    - reach Passo della Calla on foot by following CAI 00 trail (about 40 minutes); from there take a coach, line 132, to Santa Sofia (for information on schedules visit http://www.startromagna.it/?lang=en or call 0039.199.115577);
    - reach Campigna, on foot by following CAI 253 trail (about 2 hours); from there take a coach, line 132, to Santa Sofia (for information on schedules visit http://www.startromagna.it/?lang=en or call 0039.199.115577);

    From Santa Sofia you can either reach:
    - Forlì by coach, lines 132 and 131 (for information on schedules visit http://www.startromagna.it/?lang=en or call 0039.199.115577) and from there take a train to Bologna (http://www.trenitalia.com/tcom-en);
    - Stia with a private  taxi  service, and from there take a train to Arezzo (for information visit www.trasportoferroviariotoscano.it website in Italian, or call the toll free 0039 800 115 605).

  • How to reach Campigna

    Before reaching Campigna it is possible to request a stop in Tre Faggi locality, which is very near to the service, that you can reach on foot in 10 minutes.

  • How to come back from Agriturismo Il Poderone
    from the agriturismo you can reach on foot the locality Tre Faggi, near Campigna, in about 10 minutes, and from there you can take a coach to Santa Sofia, line 132 (for information on schedules visit http://www.startromagna.it/?lang=en  or call 0039.199.115577).

    From Santa Sofia you can either reach:

Stage service reached: Rifugio Le Fontanelle

The refuge is about 1 hour walk from Fonte del Borbotto locality, and you can stay there if you wish to go directly from  Muraglione Pass to Campigna.

  • How to reach Rifugio Le Fontanelle
    You can get to Forlì by train (http://www.trenitalia.com/tcom-en); from there you can take a coach to Muraglione Pass, line 127 (for information on schedules visit http://www.startromagna.it/?lang=en  or call 0039.199.115577) and then take another coach to Castagno D’Andrea (www.autolineetoscane.it website in Italian; or call 0039 055 8490505).
    You can also reach the refuge on foot, by following CAI 00 trail from Muraglione Pass to Tre Faggi Pass, then to Giogo di Castagno and then by climbing the ridge of Pian delle Fontanelle (about 3 hours and 30’ from Muraglione Pass).

    From Florence, you can reach Borgo San Lorenzo by train (http://www.trenitalia.com/tcom-en) and from there you can either take a coach (www.autolineetoscane.it website in Italian; or call 0039 055 8490505) or proceed through private taxi services (call Taxi Mugello N.C.C.  0039 333 8393380) to Castagno D’Andrea.
    From Castagno D’Andrea, by following CAI 16 trail you can reach Fonte del Borbotto  and then you proceed on CAI 8 trail to Piancancelli and then by CAI 00 until the Rifugio le Fontanelle (about 3 hours and 15’).

    From Arezzo, you can reach Stia by train (for information visit www.trasportoferroviariotoscano.it website in Italian, or call the toll free 0039 800 115 605) and then proceed through private taxi services to Piancancelli di Campigna locality. From there you can walk to the refuge by following CAI 00 trail in about 30 minutes.

  • How to come back from Rifugio Le Fontanelle
    From the refuge, on foot, you can reach:
    - Campigna, by following CAI 00 trail (about 30 minutes)
    - Castagno D’Andrea, by following the trails: CAI 00 to Piancancelli, then  CAI 8 to Fonte del Borbotto   and finally CAI 16 (about 3 hours and 15’).

    From Campigna you can use private taxi services to reach Stia, and from there take a train to Arezzo (for information visit www.trasportoferroviariotoscano.it website in Italian, or call the toll free 0039 800 115 605).
    From Castagno d’Andrea you can reach Borgo San Lorenzo by bus (www.autolineetoscane.it website in Italian; or call 0039 055 8490505) or by private taxi services (call Taxi Mugello N.C.C.  0039 333 8393380) and from there take a train to Florence (http://www.trenitalia.com/tcom-en).
